The Bitfall AquaDisplay

Sure, even though it’s been around a while and is still only in “simulation” / design mockup status as yet, would you just look at the Bitfall? Come on, how amazing could this thing be in your foyer? Granted, it only does stills or vertical panoramas because of the downward motion direction of the “screen,” but don’t act like you don’t want it in all its 128 nozzle glory, because I know ya do.

MacOSX on XBOX 360?
With all of the geek hoopla of getting a Mac OS running on an IBM PC lately, coders must be waiting in the wings for their next big challenge: running the latest Apple software on the Xbox 360.
In November, the fastest Macintosh in the world will be a Microsoft XBox 360 running a three-way, 3.2Ghz, PowerG5 successor. Of course, Microsoft's Digital Rights Management implementation will prevent it from running MacOS X.
But what if the Xbox could be taken apart and reassembled (like a pc) and built into a custom PC with a hacked OS to undermine DRM? Methinks it's not a question of if, but when.
With the high price of a Mac, surely $3-400 for a new Xbox 360 is more affordable, even with all the hacking required.
A little ironic that Microsoft is putting out a home entertainment system that is going to be the fastest Mac in the world!

Crocodile blood may yield powerful new antibiotics
Science News Article Reuters.com
By Michael Perry
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Scientists in Australia's tropical north are collecting blood from crocodiles in the hope of developing a powerful antibiotic for humans, after tests showed that the reptile's immune system kills the HIV virus.
The crocodile's immune system is much more powerful than that of humans, preventing life-threatening infections after savage territorial fights which often leave the animals with gaping wounds and missing limbs.
"They tear limbs off each other and despite the fact that they live in this environment with all these microbes, they heal up very rapidly and normally almost always without infection," said U.S. scientist Mark Merchant, who has been taking crocodile blood samples in the Northern Territory.
